LGEC Creating a Business Plan Workshop
A Train-the-Trainer Event
The Lieutenant Governor’s Entrepreneurship Challenge (LGEC) for high school students has drawn much interest in Northern Kentucky (NKY). High School Teams from NKY will compete for over $80,000 in prizes in April 2017. These teams need a faculty advisor and a business mentor to assist them in developing their business plans.
The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Kentucky Education Council have developed a regional response plan working with the Northern Kentucky Office of the Kentucky Innovation Network for a Train-the-Trainer event.
Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
The Digitorium at Griffin Hall on the NKU Campus
This event will be for potential high school faculty advisors and for potential business mentors. Participants who take this workshop will be able to: 1.) establish a shared language to better discuss existing and new business models and value propositions; 2.) learn how to design, test and build new business models and value propositions; 3.) align their team and organization around clear stories of how to create, deliver and capture value; 4.) use key tools to describe, improve, and/or invent business models and value propositions; and 5.) identify opportunities for enhancing and inventing business models and value propositions.
A working lunch will be provided. There is no charge for this event. Note, this is a five hour professional development opportunity for high school faculty.
