| For many, after returning from active duty, assimilating into civilian life can be difficult. Many veterans will seek employment, but do they have the right tools to do so? With the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) new reporting rules and targets for Federal Contractors, how can organizations prepare? Along with Recruit Military, GCHRA’s Diversity & Inclusion and Workforce Readiness Committees aim to bring together local veterans and HR professionals to shed some light on the situation.

A panel of six professionals representing both sides of the spectrum will answer questions and discuss frustrations, successes and how HR professionals and veterans can work together to reach the best possible outcome. Employers will learn how to translate “military jargon” into transferable skills for the workplace. Veterans will be given an opportunity to work one-on-one with HR professionals who will assist them in resume-building and interview coaching.
